Persons born after January 1\, 1950 applying for a hunting license in Colorado must have a hunter safety card which can be obtained by passing this class. In addition to successful completion of the written test\, full participation in all three days is required\, including safe gun handling and shooting techniques as demonstrated by each participant at a shooting range on Sunday afternoon.
